Now that summer is coming to an end, it’s time to start thinking about the cooler days ahead. It’s also time to do whatever it takes to make the transition easier for your vehicle, which is why our Maserati service center created this guide for preparing your luxury car for fall.

CHECK FLUIDS
In addition to changing your oil (which should be done regularly), it’s also important to monitor the other essential fluids in your vehicle. Now is the time to check that your brake, transmission, coolant, and power steering fluids are all at the proper levels. Plus, because of the increased dirt and dust in the air, make sure to also look at your windshield washer fluid.

CHECK BELTS AND HOSES
During hot summer months, your belts and hoses can become cracked or frayed, which is why it’s a good idea to have them inspected. Being proactive about fixing or replacing your belts and hoses can help you avoid bigger problems later on.

CHECK THE BATTERY
While temperatures never drop too low in our area, you should still have your battery checked out before things cool down. This will let you know what kind of condition it is in and if there is any corrosion that needs to be addressed.

CHECK LIGHTS
When the sun goes down sooner, you’ll want to know that other drivers will be able to see your vehicle on the road. This is why you should make sure that all of your lights – including your headlights, taillights, and turn signals – are working as they should.
